These guys are head and shoulders above many other channels, pure fact based plant science and a strong understanding of ecology with very minimal wasted time during each video.
@Herculesbiggercousin
Iβve watched a lot, and I must say I think you are the best YouTube creator that focuses on eastern native plants.
Top notch content and quality. Thanks.
@Tyler K.
I love all of Anthonyβs videos! I usually watch a new one 2 or 3 times, then watch it again later and take notes in my garden notebook for future reference.
I am very grateful for the many hours you both put into gathering correct and meaningful information for all of us. Thank you.

About your hostβ¦
Anthony Trimboliβs interest in the outdoors started at an early age. He was always catching bugs, toads, turtles, and any other critter he could get his hands on. This lifelong interest in nature led him to pursue a bachelorβs degree in wildlife biology and later a masterβs degree in agriculture.
He enjoys helping landowners meet their habitat management needs, whether they have a yard sized property inside the city limits or a 1,000 acre property that is used mainly for deer and turkey hunting. Every time he steps in the woods his mind goes through this process β what is here, is this what should be here, and how can it be made better?
Anthony and his wife, Shannon, are also working to improve the habitat on their own 40-acre farm β which includes battling a seemingly endless supply of invasive plants! So, they understand all the excitement, challenges, frustrations, and celebrations that come with trying to create a functioning ecosystem on your property because theyβre experiencing the same things.

Iβve enjoyed every single one of your videos.
1.) They help folk understand some of the βwebbingβ of our native ecosystems.
2.) You give people a heads-up on what to look out for.
3.) A lot of them give me a good laugh.
4.) Every single one of them makes me feel like Iβm not the only person left in America that actually cares about these things.
Soβ¦ Maybe Iβm a little crazy. But, at least Iβm not alone. π
Youβre, literally, the only YouTube personality Iβve ever wanted to meet to shake hands with.
Stay metal,

Backyard Ecologyβ’βs Guiding Principles:
π¦ Curiosity: Nature is fun, interesting, and worth exploring. We will never know everything. Answers lead to more questions. Thatβs half the fun.
π¦ Balanced: You donβt have to choose. You can support nature AND have a beautiful property that you can enjoy and be proud of.
π¦ Science informed: Habitat creation and management should be based on the latest scientific research available. This is true regardless of whether youβre working in a small garden or on hundreds of acres.
π¦ Stewardship: Anyone can make a positive difference in the natural world and leave an ecological legacy on their property.
